Amen is the Afrofeast brand ambassador and the face of Amen.Travel. People ask me why so much of my work is built around one person. I wrote about it in Real. Not stock. and What Amen.Travel is really about. These are my five reasons.

1. She is open about wanting to earn.

Money is not a dirty word to Amen. A person who wants to earn well has ambition, and ambition is what you want next to you. People like that tend to help the people around them earn more too.

2. She makes my business look good.

Amen has helped my business look good and get into new territory. She also gives advice and tips, and she understands how the world works. When your work is about people and places, that matters.

3. She is young, and she is going somewhere.

Yes, she is young and beautiful, and a camera likes that. It is the smallest part of the story. A young woman with energy is a big resource for a family, a country and a business. I would rather back that than ignore it.

4. She takes risks.

When I ask Amen for help, she says yes. She travelled thousands of kilometres to help me with work in Thailand, then returned to Vietnam shortly after. That is not a small ask, and she took it on.

5. She is smart, generous and down to earth.

Amen is not pompous. She is humble and respectful, and in this business that goes a long way.
