What Is Hyloti?

Not the video game. A free travel-intelligence platform for East Africa's borders and corridors — and a word that is ours.

If you searched "Hyloti" and landed on a video game, you are not alone — the word turns up as a race in Starbound. But this is something else, and the word is ours. Hyloti is a venture I am building.

Hyloti stands for Hyperlocal Travel Intelligence. It is a free border and corridor travel-intelligence platform for East Africa — visas, vaccinations, safety, operator status and fares across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Ethiopia. The idea is simple: know before you go. You can see it at hyloti.com.

It is the traveller's side of Endesha, the ticketing platform we build for East African bus operators. One sells the seat; the other tells you whether the border is open, the route is safe, and the fare is fair.

Why a made-up word? Because a coined name is yours to own — no dictionary, no other company, just the thing you build under it. Hyloti is built and operated by 3Men Pty Ltd, the Australian company behind all my ventures. The full picture is here.

So if you are crossing the corridors of East Africa — or just curious what the word means now — that is Hyloti.
